Bill Motta – President, Owner
Bill began mowing lawns as a high school student. His first work vehicle was a 1976 four door Chevy Nova (faded red that looked pink) and would borrow his father’s 21” lawn mower and electric weed whacker with a 100’ long extension cord stuffed into the trunk. Encouraged to further his education, he attended Wentworth Institute of Technology and graduated in 1990 with a Bachelor Degree in Construction Management. While attending and commuting to college for the next four years, he continued to grow his business demonstrating hard work and dedication while taking pride in his craft.
Unable to manage his part time landscape business while working full time on his professional career as a Project Engineer in the General Contracting Industry, Bill was forced to give up his landscape business. After many years of gaining experience on some of the most demanding construction projects and firms; including five years on “The Big Dig” in Boston, Bill in 2002, with the blessing from his wife and two very young daughters launched his new career and true passion in the Green Industry and started, without one client signed on, Motta Landscaping.
Today, Bill’s professional background and hands on approach, offers a unique perspective for his clients to experience. Bill and his team are dedicated to working closely with their clients. Motta Landscaping provides an honest, old-school, personalized service with a knowledge and understanding of landscape and construction services. This is the cornerstone to Motta Landscaping.
Bill holds a Massachusetts Builders License and is a Licensed Home Improvement Contractor. If a project requires a building permit, we are capable of providing one for the client. Bill is also a Licensed Pesticide Applicator and holds a Massachusetts Hoisting License. Bill and his team continue their education and remain current with industry standards by attending seminars and trade shows.
