Overseeding for an existing lawn is not always needed after aeration especially for very healthy, full lawns. For lawns that are struggling for a good uniform stand of turf, we recommend overseeding as needed to reduce weed pressure the following growing season. The more turfgrass in a lawn, the less space weeds have to grow.
